Congratulations on your pregnancy! You've made the decision to capture this special time in your life and we are so excited to be a part of it!
Here is a list of things to consider as you prepare to arrive at the studio for the big day!
1) Ensure your hair is looking photo ready
Nothing beats freshly cut/coloured/styled blowout with soft waves and volume for maternity photos. Some moms book an appointment the day of their session to ensure they are photo ready! Hair is best worn loose and down. Please avoid severe styles such as tight pony tails/buns.
2) Prepare your skin
Be sure to exfoliate, shave and moisturize from head to toe- paying special attention to underarms and legs! Consider a moisturizer with some shimmer for extra glam effect! Please avoid self tanner as it can stain the gowns/fabrics.
3) Have your makeup professionally applied
You deserve a little extra pampering, especially as you near the 3rd trimester of your pregnancy! Book a makeup application with one of Winnipeg's top makeup artists. We can provide a list of names to help you narrow it down, OR you can add a makeup application on to your session and let us take care of that for you! You won't regret having properly applied lashes and contour!
4) Pay attention to your undergarments for the session day
Nothing like realizing you have on black underwear to pair with a sheer white gown! Once you have selected the gowns/outfits you will wear at the session, make sure you have coordinated underwear as well.
While most of the gowns have a built in bra/corset. it might be a good idea to bring a skin-toned strapless bra for any fabric toss images.
5)Be sure to eat & hydrate
Come to the studio well-fed and watered! This will keep queasiness and dizziness at bay! We do have snacks and drinks at the studio, just in case!
6) Prepare wardrobe for your partner and any children you are bringing to the session
Make sure to bring a good selection of clothing that coordinates well with your gown selections for any partner/family photos being done at the studio.
7) Don't forget the nails
Fingernails and toenails should be freshly polished in a neutral shade which compliments the outfits you have selected.
Your maternity photos are going to be stunning! We will see you soon at #6 Poplar Bay, Stonewall.
